Learning Fun with Te Waka Ako

Room 1 and Room 2 were lucky on Friday afternoon to have the students from Manukau and Hauraki come and share our learning.

We made new backdrops and borders for the school corridor displays. The farmscape was a huge hit, with Ms Dimmock helping with colour choices.

Lots of fluffy sheep were made in Room 1, thank you for the help with cutting and sticking, big kids!

Watch out for the finished products in the main school corridor next term!

What's the design going to be?

Too big to be indoors!

Buddy learning with the experts in Room 4

Today the sheep farmer experts in Room 4 came to help us with our questioning skills.

We had to think of questions to ask and they could tell us from their reading book that's kept them busy all last week.

We did find a question though that they couldn't answer......

"How many teeth does a sheep have?"

We found the answer by googling it, it's 32 for a fully grown sheep!

Look! That's the clover that sheep love to eat!

What would you like to know?
